The main street of Mildura was shut off last night and dedicated to a parade to kick-off the 2012 KTM Hattah Desert Race, with Yamaha riders Daniel Milner, Mitch Harper, Jarrod Bewley and Josh Green front and centre and ready to race.
The riders are primed and keen to hit the wide open, sandy track for tomorrow‰Ûªs four-kilometre-long prologue, which will determine the start order for Sunday‰Ûªs gruelling, four-hour cross-country.
The event is being held in the Mallee scrubland just outside Mildura, Victoria.
Milner, of the Ballard‰Ûªs Yamaha Park and Fly Off-Road team, is on fire this season, running third Outright in the Yamaha Australian Off-Road Championship (AORC).
The 22-year-old Victorian (from Lang Lang) is determined to continue his success this weekend, hoping to finally score a clean run at Hattah.
