The Hunter Valley in NSW is undeniably the Mecca of motorcycle racing in this country and Maitland Showground will play host to the popular Yamaha MX Cross Cup Series on Saturday October 10th for the final round.
The Final round of the Yamaha MX Cup will no longer clash with the second round of Australian Supercross Championships, hoping to attract some open and lites riders along with a strong contingency of other riders who have been following the MX Cross Cup series all year.
Organiser Phil Sargent of Dirt Bike Promotions, who is based in Kurri Kurri, says the hunter valley is loaded with talented motocross riders, ‰ÛÏWe really want to try and get a huge local contingency to take on the rest of the riders from across the state.
‰ÛÏStadium motocross is a similar layout to Supercross racing with a man made track with loads Supercross style jumps formed from more than 12,000 tonnes of dirt inside the arena at Maitland Showgrounds it lends for super close racing.
‰ÛÏI always look forward to Maitland we have been coming here for over five years...
