The cream of Australian motocross will roll into Moree to fight for the inaugural Yamaha Boolooroo Open on September 22, 2007.
Riders only have a few weeks left to enter what will be an annual blue ribbon event on the national motocross calendar. This is a first for Moree Motorcycle Club and six years in the making.
The Moree Motorcycle Club has actively been continually fine tuning the track and its facilities to ensure they will be ready to stage an open meet of national notoriety. The lub intend to make this the biggest motorsport show held in the history of Moree and district drawing 400 of the best riders and an estimated 2000 people to town.
Over $10,000 in cash and prizes, combined with a superb motocross circuit has already loured some of the best riders in the country, namely
Cheyne Boyd,
Troy Carroll,
Nathan Brochtrup,
Brendon Harrision and
Tye Simmonds. There is no doubt that more of the like will follow.
Entrants in all events (Pro/Int Open and Lites and the Dash for Cash) can take home $3000 in cash. Clubman Lites don't go away empty handed with over $3000 in cash and prizes. To make it worth pulling that Junior motocross sprocket rocket out of the trailer on your way to Coolum there is over $1000 in cash and prizes up for grabs in each junior division from 65cc to Junior 125cc.
