This weekend marks the first event on the 2015 racing calendar for Team Honda Racing and what an event to start the year.
Competing in the Superbike Support Races at the World Superbike Event for Honda will be Jamie Stauffer, Troy Herfoss and Josh Hook.
The team assembled at the internationally renowned Phillip Island Circuit today in preparation for a huge weekend of racing and tested the tar this afternoon with a Free Practice session onboard their Honda CBR1000RR SPs.
Team Principal, Paul Free is every bit as eager as his riders to get the racing season started.
‰ÛÏThe World Superbike Event is always a fantastic way to begin our season, the circuit is world class, the crowd is always fantastic and this year with the news of Aussie Legend Troy Bayliss returning to compete in the World Superbike Races I think a lot more Aussies spectators will come." Free commented.
"I expect our riders to have a strong weekend; they are all fresh and the CBR1000RR SP is in good form to start the season. We have young Josh Hook competing with Team Honda Racing for this initial event before he heads over to Japan for testing in the Japanese Superbike Championship with FCC TSR Honda. We are very pleased to have him onboard alongside Troy and Jamie.
"We also welcome back Takeda-san from the FCC TSR Honda Team who will be assisting Josh at this event. I look forward to a great weekend of Superbike racing.‰Û
