Wheeler Family Dominates Happy Valley Springs Motocross Open

Posted:

The fifth annual Happy Valley Springs Motocross Open over the weekend (October 13 and 14) at Clarance, near Lithgow (NSW), saw the surname Wheeler frequent the winners list with Kody Wheeler taking out four Senior class wins and his younger brother Dale Wheeler taking out a single win in the Juniors. In total the Wheeler family took out five class wins with Kody victorious in Pro Open, Pro Lites, Over 251cc (2 and 4 Stroke) and the 250cc 4-stroke, and Dale claimed the victory spoils in the Junior 125cc class. The Wheeler family certainly left the Happy Valley Springs Open with an impressive trophy haul and a fair slice of the $ 3,000 in prize money that was on offer over the two-day event. On the Saturday, it was the Juniors that took to the track and aside from Dale Wheeler, other class winners consisted of Dylan Dukes (50cc Division 2), Elias Dukes (65cc 7 to under 9 years), Aaron Tanti (65cc 10 to under 13 years), Luke Arnold (85cc 9 to under 12 years), and Daniel McEntee (85cc 12 to under 16 years). In the Seniors, apart from the dominance of Kody Wheeler, other class wins were shared between Sven Valley (both the Open C Grade and 250cc C Grade), Paul Grant (Over 30 years), Josh Bush (125cc C grade), and Jessica Nesbitt (Women's). The Lower Mountains Motorcycle Club would like to thank everyone for all their support throughout the Happy Valley Springs Motocross Open.
