JDR/KTM Factory Racing rider Ryan Marmont finished a fine fifth in the opening round of the 2012 Australian Supercross Championships, contested at Dubbo's Morris Park Speedway in New South Wales on Saturday, 13 October.
The 27-year-old from Wollongong finished fourth in his qualifying heat and then later battled back from a slow start in the 20-lap SX-Lites main event to claim fifth, which is a solid foundation to build from in the short four-round series.
