Todd Waters delivered his best result of the 2026 ProMX Championship so far at Toowoomba, charging to an impressive fourth overall in the MX1 class as the Raceline Husqvarna TDUB Racing Team rider continued to show front-running speed at round four.
After a difficult outing at the previous round at Gillman, Waters bounced back strongly at his home-state Queensland round, immediately showing solid pace. The former MX1 champion qualified sixth in the opening session before backing that up with sixth in the MX1 Pole Shootout.
When the gates dropped, Waters put together one of his strongest performances of the season in the tough, heavy conditions at Echo Valley. He raced to fourth in Moto 1 before backing it up with fifth in Moto 2, narrowly missing the podium but securing fourth overall for the round and valuable championship points.
Reflecting on the weekend, Waters said the team made important changes between motos that helped unlock more pace as the day progressed.
“Today was good!” Waters said. “I actually didn’t feel great in Moto 1, so we went back and made some changes after that one, which translated well in Moto 2.”

Waters said he was encouraged to be battling near the front and believes there is still more to come after showing genuine podium speed throughout the day.
“I was right up there, battling the top guys and in contention for the podium, which was awesome,” he explained. “I lost it towards the end of the second one; that was a bit disappointing, but I feel like I really showed speed this weekend.”
The strong result sees Waters remain fifth in the MX1 standings at the halfway point of the championship, with confidence building ahead of round five at Appin on June 14 – a circuit the Queenslander believes suits his style.
“Appin is a place that gels for me, so I want to do some solid work between now and then and try to take that pace all the way to the chequered flag,” Waters concluded.
