After securing his 50th career Grand Prix victory at the MXGP of Castilla La Mancha in Spain, Tim Gajser is riding a wave of confidence heading into the MXGP of Europe at St Jean D’Angely, France.
The Honda HRC rider put on a dominant performance, showcasing his speed and skill despite challenging muddy conditions, and now leads the championship with a strong points margin.
Gajser’s victory in Spain was a statement of his continued dominance in the MXGP class. With the red plate firmly on his bike, Gajser is looking forward to continuing his momentum and defending his lead at St Jean D’Angely. “It was really important to have such a good weekend in Spain,” said Gajser. “Argentina was solid, but to show everyone my speed and ability in Cozar was key. It’s a great vote of confidence that I’m on the right track, and the team is doing the right things.”
Looking ahead to the upcoming round in St Jean, Gajser is eager to replicate his 2024 success on the French soil, when he triumphed in challenging conditions. However, this time, he’s hoping for better weather. “Last year I won in some weird circumstances, so I’m looking forward to going back and trying to win in more normal conditions,” he added.
With a solid points lead, Gajser enters St Jean with a strong sense of belief in both his abilities and his team’s preparation. As the championship battle intensifies.
