The Yamaha Australian Off Road Championship updates

The Yamaha Australian Off Road Championships (AORC) for 2007 has been granted the status of an Aussie Championship. Entries are now open for this Championship. The 2007 events will be Twelve Rounds over Six Weekends for Senior Riders and Ten Rounds over Five Weekends for Junior Riders. The 2007 AORC will be promoted again by Dirt Bike Promotions, it will feature classes for Pro, Expert, Clubman, Snr Women‰Ûªs and Junior Riders from 9yrs 85cc up to Junior Lites Riders. There will be three different formats used over the Twelve Rounds with a Sprint Format, Cross Country Format and a 2 Day Enduro Format. Tracks and tests will all be exciting and challenging, but will be rideable for all riders and their abilities. The events will be run professionally and will be fun for all involved, there will be great viewing for spectators, good facilities, catering at all events and riders and their families will be able to camp at most of the venues. NEW FEATURE for Rd 1 /Rd 2, Rd 8 & Rd 11 :
BALLARD‰ÛªS EXTREME ‰ÛÒ Special Extreme Section just for Pro‰Ûªs There will be a Special man-made extreme test for Pro Riders after completion of the Sprint Test, the Pro Riders will go straight into the Ballard‰Ûªs Extreme Test. Results will be calculated using times from all tests and the extreme tests. Senior Classes are: Championship Enduro 1, Championship Enduro 2, Championship Enduro 3,
Championship Veterans, Championship Masters and Championship Women‰Ûªs
Expert Enduro 1, Expert Enduro 2/3, Clubman Enduro 1, Clubman Enduro 2/3, Clubman Veterans
Junior Classes are: Class 1 ‰ÛÒ Junior 85cc 9 ‰ÛÒ 11yrs, Class 2 - Junior 85cc 12-13yrs,
Class 3 -Junior 85cc 14-15yrs, Junior Lites

Round 1 / Round 2 ‰ÛÒ 10th & 11th March ‰ÛÒ Port Macquarie ‰ÛÒ Sprint Format for both rounds.
Round 3 / Round 4 ‰ÛÒ 31st March & 1st April ‰ÛÒ Batemans Bay ‰ÛÒ Enduro Format ( Senior Only).
Round 5 / Round 6 ‰ÛÒ 21st & 22nd April ‰ÛÒ Ballarat ‰ÛÒ Rd 5 ‰ÛÒ Cross County Format / Rd 6 ‰ÛÒ Sprint Format.
Round 7 / Round 8 ‰ÛÒ 19th & 20th May ‰ÛÒ Conondale ‰ÛÒ Rd 7 ‰ÛÒ Cross Country Format / Rd 8 ‰ÛÒ Sprint Format.
Round 9 / Round 10 ‰ÛÒ 18th & 19th August ‰ÛÒ Wonthaggi ‰ÛÒ Sprint Format for both rounds.
Round 11 / Round 12 ‰ÛÒ 8th & 9th Sept ‰ÛÒ Gwandalan ‰ÛÒ Rd 11 ‰ÛÒ Cross Country Format /Rd 12 ‰ÛÒ Sprint Format.

Entry Fees for Weekend (Saturday & Sunday) for Sprint & Cross Country Format
Championship Riders: $150.00 (includes GST & $22.00 Rider Levy)
Expert Riders: $135.00 (includes GST & $22.00 Rider Levy)
Clubman Riders: $135.00 (includes GST & $22.00 Rider Levy)
Junior Riders: $105.00 (includes GST & $22.00 Rider Levy)
Round One & Round Two is at Hasting Valley Motorcycle Raceway ‰ÛÒ Port Macquarie approx 15klms from Port Macquarie on Saturday & Sunday 10th & 11th March 2007.

The Race Track will be approx 8 ‰ÛÒ 10 minutes. The Track will be in Natural Terrain, Bushland and parts of the Motocross Track. Junior competitors will ride a reduced loop.

So why not bite the bullet and enter to ride one or all of the rounds, test yourself against other riders at your level from right across Australia. Riders will get to compete and see the best Off Road Riders in Australia race against each other and enjoy a great weekend away. All you need is a National Licence.
