There is just under a month to go before the 3rd annual Central West Dirt Bike rally is to held on the June long weekend, 9th & 10th of June.
The Central West Dirt Bike Rally is unique in NSW as it's the only organised trail ride to be held completely on private property and is open to unregistered bikes and licensed riders.
The event also offers the opportunity to be able to trail ride legally with your children. Along with the available trail loops, a watered motocross track, Pee Wee track and short kids trail for those who are not up to the challenge of a full enduro style loop will be open for use over the weekend.
The main trails consist of 2 loops, Loop A will be open both Saturday afternoon and Sunday Afternoon, and Loop B will be open Sunday morning, giving riders the option to ride Saturday arvo and Sunday morning and then travel home Sunday arvo, or just ride on Sunday and still complete both loops. for those with plenty of energy, riders can ride both days and bust out some laps on the motocross track in between riding the trails.
The trails are all dedicated motorcycle tracks with no long boring transport sections to link the real riding together. They are mostly single track with also some tight and winding four wheel drive tracks and plenty of hills to keep things interesting. The main trails are suitable for experienced riders and there also some harder optional sections.
All the trails are not normally open to the public so there is no fear of coming around a corner to meet a four wheel drive head on, helping to make the event even safer for riders.
Free camping with flushing toilets, hot showers and a bonfire is available on Saturday night and there will be hot food and drinks also available.
Also as in previous years, one lucky rider's name to win a $500 voucher to spend at their favourite bike shop.
