Taylor once again showed his brilliance in his regular class the Pro Lites when he took the pair of wins. In a 'been there done that' for the 31-year-old he was once again put in a position of chasing down a less heralded rider in the shape of Dean Taylor (Kawasaki Specialist Racing). Dean Taylor who has spent the last couple of years wandering the world racing in different countries was blistering fast, holding Cameron Taylor at bay for two thirds of the moto.
"Dean is riding well - I was surprised with how fast he was going, I managed another poor start, which
is something I need to work on. Coming from behind though helps me with my preparation as I was able
to chase and make some smart passes", Taylor said.
Moto 2 saw Taylor do it comfortably with Dean Taylor in the thick of it once again. New South Welshman, Mitch Hoad found his way into third by the chequered flag.
In the Junior Lites Full Throttle Sports Honda Junior rider Kade Mosig took three wins from three starts although he was pushed all the way by Honda and Fly Racing supported Lewis Woods each time. Luke Harraway aboard his K&J Thomas YZ 250F finished third
"My Honda is working great", Mosig said. "Yarrive (Konsky) has written up a new training program and I have been putting
in a lot of time both on and off the bike. My preparation for the rookie series is on track and by
Coolum I know I will be ready"
