Stewart wraps up the Supercross double in Seattle

James Stewart became the AMA and World Supercross champion in the easiest possible way at Qwest Field, Seattle, WA, last Saturday night, whilst Ryan Villipoto continued his winning form when he took out the final race of the West Coast Lites class. Stewart clinched the Amp‰Ûªd Mobile World Supercross GP and Amp‰Ûªd Mobile AMA Supercross Series championships with his 12th race win of the season and was handed an easy road to his double crown when Suzuki Makita's Ivan Tedesco crashed shortly after taking the holeshot, this halted any chance Chad Reed had of keeping with the Kawasaki Racing Team rider when the Australian became tangled in his bike. ‰ÛÏI am definitely happy to be in the position I am in and I hope that I can continue to help the sport grow from here,‰Û
