The Australian team has been named and a starting line-up has been selected for the first round of the Speedway World Cup which the Aussies will be competing at in Vojens, Denmark.
The opening round will take place on July 14, and team manager Craig Boyce has today released details of the starting line-up for the event, which is as follows:
1. Jason Crump
2. Chris Holder
3. Rory Schlein
4. Ryan Sullivan
5. Leigh Adams (captain)
Reserve: Dave Watt
It is an extremely strong rider list for the Australians, with all five of the starting team in exceptional form in their respective competitions over the past few weeks.
The Aussies will be looking to build on their fourth place finish at the 2006 event, where they were right in contention for first up until the final few races.
Motorcycling Australia will be sending its Communications Manager over to Poland for the race-off and final of the Speedway World Cup, so for all the latest news, interviews and photos directly from the event, the MA website (www.ma.org.au) will be the place for you to go!
MA will also bring you direct coverage from the FIM International Speedway Youth Gold Trophy 80cc, which will be taking place in Czestochowa, Poland from 11-14 July.
