With just three races remaining in this year‰Ûªs series, 1996 world 500cc motocross champion Shayne
King (New Zealand/Australia Honda CRF45oF) leads his brother Darryll (CDR/Boost/Yamaha
YZ450F) by 35pts in the overall standings, with the siblings certain to finish one-two ‰ÛÒ only the
order remains to be finalised.
Of course, Shane, who has led the series from the word go after a clean sweep in round one, still
remains the overwhelming favourite to prevail, which would amount to his first Australian-based
national level title. However, a single DNF from Shane could instantly change the dynamics of the
championship, opening the door for Darryll to mount a late offensive.
