Seven-Round 2024 FIM Hard Enduro World Championship Confirmed

Posted:

2023 champion Manuel Lettenbichler will be back to defend his title in 2024.

WESS GmbH has confirmed a seven-round calendar for the 2024 FIM Hard Enduro World Championship with the addition of Turkey’s Sea to Sky and the 24MX Hixpania Hard Enduro in Spain.

Expanding the global reach of the sport, the championship will visit both the United Kingdom and Turkey for the first time, while also returning to the United States.

Getting the racing underway in early May, the 2024 FIM Hard Enduro World Championship will begin with the Valleys Hard Enduro in the United Kingdom. A new event for all, the venue in Wales is well-versed in top-tier offroad races and is sure to deliver an exciting and memorable opening round.

Less than three weeks later the championship will visit Austria’s Red Bull Erzbergrodeo for round two. An event of legendary status, next year will mark the 28th edition of the race.

Next up is the Xross Hard Enduro Rally in Serbia in June, which will be round three. Although only held twice so far in the championship, it has quickly become a rider favourite thanks to its incredibly remote and rugged terrain. Featuring a multi-day, GPS navigation format, it builds in seamlessly to round four, Romania’s Red Bull Romaniacs. For those who enjoy this style of Hard Enduro competition, rounds three and four will form an important part of the series.

Following a three-week summer break, the championship will travel to the United States to begin the second half of the season with the Red Bull TKO. An event in stark contrast to the previous two races, Red Bull TKO culminates with an intense day of racing where competitors must advance through numerous heats to reach the final.

Turkey’s Sea to Sky makes an exciting addition to the 2024 series as the sixth and penultimate round in October. Held in the tourist region of Kemer, the race is fondly known as the ‘most enjoyable Hard Enduro’ and celebrates its 15th edition next year.

Taking place over three days, it begins with a beach race. The final day of racing truly embodies the Hard Enduro spirit. Riders start with their wheels on the shoreline of the Mediterranean Sea before racing head-to-head to the finish line on the summit of the nearby Olympos Mountain, some 2,365m above sea level.

Set to draw the 2024 FIM Hard Enduro World Championship to a close will be Spain’s 24MX Hixpania Hard Enduro, round seven of the series on October 25-27. With its three-day format, it offers a wide variety of racing from the opening day SuperEnduro in the medieval host town of Aguilar de Campoo to the multi-lap Hard Enduro main event in the nearby quarry.
