With the 2005 South Australian Reliability Trials Series set to kick off on May 7th, leading South Australian motorcycle retailer,
SA Dirt Bikes have been announced as the series sponsor.
SA Dirtbikes stated that they where looking to raise the profile of Road Trials and have already seen interest shown from
key riders in the Eastern states.
As well as committing to being the naming rights sponsor SA Dirtbikes will once again be back with support for defending
champion Shane Diener. Diener will once again campaign the Gas Gas EC250 under the Dirty Bits Racing banner and his recent
good form will see him as a firm favourite once again.
Diener will face some tough opposition from two-time SA Enduro champion (2002, 2003), Scott Irrgang who joins him in the Dirty Bits
Racing team for 2005 aboard the all new Gas Gas FSE450 four stroke.
Other names confirmed for Dirty Bits Racing are Sean Keller (Husqvarna TE510), Sean Beckmann (Husqvarna WR250),
Andy Hank (Gas Gas EC300), Paul Porket (TM450FES), Steve Pinchon (TM400F), John Gowley (TM250E) and Evan Byles (Gas Gas FSE450).
With the opening round being the Gawler 6 Hour near Tarlee on the 7th May a few new rules will come into place for
2005. Mousse tubes will now be legal for competition, Tyres must not be marked with "Not for Highway use" or similar
and All machines must display the series sponsor sticker (SA Dirt Bikes), clearly visible from the front left of the machine.
