With the opening round of the Monster Energy MX Nationals already in the books, Raceline Pirelli Suzuki will appear at Ryan Marmonts‰Ûª home round, one man down when the series heads to Appin this weekend.
Two weeks have passed and the team has regrouped ahead of the second round. With MX2 riders Ryan Marmont and Geran Stapleton showing promising results at Broadford, the second round at Appin will be bitter sweet for the Suzuki team.
Marmont, who has proven his ability to win championships in the past, sees round two at Appin as his time to shine. With Appin being Marmonts‰Ûª home track, he is convinced that the added support of friends and family will make his chase for the title that little bit easier on the weekend.
‰ÛÏI was expecting a little bit more out of myself at Broadford, but I‰Ûªve gone away and worked a lot on that." Marmont explained. "Judging by last year, I‰Ûªm in a much better position just getting out of round one without an injury.
‰ÛÏI‰Ûªm obviously quite familiar with the track at Appin, being quite close to where I live, and we do quite a bit of training out there so I‰Ûªm really excited.
‰ÛÏI think it always help when you‰Ûªre racing close to home, it gives you that bit of an edge and builds your confidence up having that extra support behind you. It also helps to sleep in your own bed that‰Ûªs for sure!
‰ÛÏMy friends and family will all be there to support me, so hopefully I can have a positive weekend.‰Û
