Jumping over the London Tower Bridge in a world-first stunt obviously isn‰Ûªt enough action for one week for adrenaline hungry Robbie ‰Û÷Maddo‰Ûª Maddison, who now heads to Madrid to compete in the fourth round of the 2009 Red Bull X-Fighters World Tour.
This Thursday 16th and Friday 17th July, the Spanish capital city of Madrid will play host to the biggest event in the international freestyle motocross calendar as twelve of the world‰Ûªs best riders including Aussie FMX superstar, Robbie Maddison, get ready to do battle for two days back-to-back in the legendary Plaza de Toros de las Ventas bullfighting arena!
Red Bull X-Fighters World Tour in Madrid will kick off with the Best Trick Competition on Thursday, before continuing on Friday with the traditional main event. Spectators in the historic bullfighting ring will be in for a spectacular show on both days as the world FMX elite defies the laws of gravity with jumps of up to 15 metres above the ground and 30 metres in distance.
Maddison, still pumped after his successful world record jump in London this week, is all set to conquer round four of Red Bull X-Fighters.
‰ÛÏI'm out to get some points back after my shoulder dislocated mid-air during my run at Texas, I was on a mission to win in Texas and fate stood in my way. This round of Red Bull X-Fighters is important to me because I'm still in the points race,‰ÛÏ said Maddison.
Eyes will also be on Aussie Cameron Sinclair after his impressive double backflip at the last stop in Fort Worth, Texas (USA). All riders however will now be aiming to pull off the next sensation in Madrid in front of a sell-out 23,000 crowd packing the city‰Ûªs famous bullfighting arena. In particular, defending champion Switzerland‰Ûªs Mat Rebeaud (CH) will be under major pressure as he needs to record his first win of the 2009 season to successfully defend his title.
