A reminder that registration is still open for the 2010 instalment of Ride for the Hills (RFTH) on February 14, following the massive success of last year's event to raise money for the Victorian bushfire victims.
This time, all proceeds from the ride will go to the SES and CFA to help them replace equipment in the devastating fires. Details are as follows:
Date: Sunday, February 14, 2010
Time: Depart at 11.00am. Assembly from 8.00am
Start: Pitlane of Albert Park F1 track, Aughtie Drive
Finish: Whittlesea Country Music Festival

In April last year, motorcycle riders raised over $40,000 in RFTH, with a massive column of riders tracking from Beaconsfield Parade in the heart of St Kilda to Whittlesea, close to Kinglake, one of the worst affected areas in the devastation of February 7.
Around 3000 bikes participated in RFTH and, with an escort from the Victorian police, the column was kept intact for the entire journey, stretching as far as 15km at one stage. There were also eight 'feeder' runs which terminated in Whittlesea.
The Victorian bushfires, which killed 173 people, razed a number of townships in the heart of motorcycle-riding playgrounds, including Kinglake, Marysville and Narbethong.
