The company behind the Australasian Safari are confident the biggest Safari race in Australia will return in the near future after not being able to run the event this year.
After running the event in Western Australia until 2014, Justin Hunt has issued a statement regarding the future of the event and a likely move to the east coast of Australia.
"I have been keeping busy in Safari land so to speak." Hunt said in a statement today. "Our contract with Western Australia is almost finalised and we have commenced discussions with other States within Australia to look at hosting future evolutions of the Australasian Safari.
"There will not be a Safari in 2015. Hopefully something will come of these meetings and when we have some exciting news to share we will. I am hopeful that the event can continue with a greater East Coast presence.
"The Safari office is now closed and all of the phone and email systems are off or diverted to my number as listed below. Please note the new postal address." Hunt added.
"I have been working on a new project. The Polaris RZR Championship. This is a 6 round action packed Championship commencing in Sydney in April 2015.
"Check out the website www.rzr-racing.com as we have a few places left. I am really looking forward to these events as I reckon they are going to be awesome fun.
"Keep in touch, keep sharing all things Safari on Facebook and hope to see you at an event sometime." Hunt concluded.
