Buoyed with confidence after an accomplished performance at round three of the 2010 SPEA FIM Trial World Championship in Japan, Adam Raga - Gas Gas will travel to Scotland intent on replicating his dominant victory and reducing the gap yet further between him and Toni Bou - Repsol Montesa at the head of the overall standings.
Raga was in scintillating form on the second day in Motegi. Particularly on lap one, where he dropped just twelve marks during what was an expert display of trials riding over an eclectic mix of challenging terrain. The sections that were made slick by a heavy downpour on Saturday, saw Raga tackle steep muddy ascents, natural rock, large boulders and manmade obstacles with ease. He finished his first lap some nine marks clear of an unusually outclassed Bou.
Adam‰Ûªs victory in Japan was his first in 2010. It is this win combined with a narrowing gap in the overall standings, which will provide the motivation he needs to hunt down Bou in the title race. Indeed as the season reaches its mid point in Scotland, the Grand Prix will be the final double-header of the season. Hence Raga will not have a better opportunity to seriously dent Bou‰Ûªs ambitions of a fourth consecutive Outdoor crown. Raga currently trails his archrival by eight points.
‰ÛÏI said after the result in Japan that I feel good right now, but I am not thinking of the championship right at this moment,‰Û
