The second round of Queensland's Suzuki Enduro-X was organized by the Kingaroy M/C club and held in the Bunya Mountains
just west of Kumbia on the 24th of August.
With rain falling overnight on Saturday it made for fun just trying to make it to the
track on Sunday morning! The access road had received a fair bit of liquid making the
Black soil very slippery for even the most hard core 4wd, causing some competitors to
park outside and ride to the circuit.
Even though the conditions didn't lend themselves to be a great spectator event the
racing was very close with a few competitors posting the exact same stage times.
In the Pro class Anthony Roberts received the class win followed closely by Michael
Roberts and Ryan Smart in second and third showing they know how to ride in the wet
as well. A bit of a shock was that both Kirk and Duncan Hutton didn't place in the
top three and If Ryan Smart hadn't fallen in front of me he may have finished second.
Chris Reading won the Experts with Damien Buckley and Brendan Nation keeping him honest
throughout the day. In the Junior 125 2stk - 250 4stk it was Geoff Tennant proving that
he knows what it takes to win. Courtney Longden proved hard to beat in the women's class
with Andrew Cumming dominating the over 35's.
The next round is to be held at The Farm Toowoomba on the 6/7th of September
