Stefan Granquist made a fine start to his 2014 season on board his Active8 Yamaha YZ250, taking fifth place at the opening round of the Australian Enduro-X Championships, held at Archerfield Speedway in Brisbane over the weekend.
With the ink still drying on his 2014 contract with Active8 Yamaha, Granquist was able to put together a solid and consistent day‰Ûªs racing taking 7-5-4 finishes in the three race final format to claim fifth on the day in the Pro class.
With two rounds to go, Granquist is well placed but is hoping to continue his climb up the results board as the championship wears on.
‰ÛÏThe first final wasn‰Ûªt the best but I got better as the day went on." Grandquist stated. "The track was slippery and the power of the YZ250 was hard to keep hooked up on the hard pack surface but I had a great time and think it will continue to get better from here.
‰ÛÏWe have two rounds to go and it is my goal to get up on the podium before the Enduro-X championship is over,‰Û
