Pichon takes double at French Motocross Championships

Mickael Pichon (Team Tiscali Honda Martin) has swept the second round of the 2004 French Motocross Championships at Verneuil in France over the weekend (Mar-14). Moto one saw the former world champion win from the front beating home Yves Demaria and Christophe Martin. Unhappy with the setup of his Honda CRF450, Pichon's mechanics made some changes. By the chequered flag and a close race ensued between Demaria and Pichon with Pichon pulling away in the later stages for a comfortable victory, Demaria was once again the runner up with Thierry Bethys this time taking the final podium spot. After the meeting both Pichon and his team declared they are ready for the opening round of the FIM World Motocross Championships that begin this weekend (Mar-21) in Zolder, Belgium.
