ParkinGO Triumph BE1 Racing focus on Suspension at Portimao

Posted:

Team ParkinGO Triumph BE1 Racing's Chaz Davies, Sebastien Charpentier, David Salom and Jason Di Salvo have started preparing the bikes for the upcoming season with three days of testing at Portimao. Chaz Davies, who raced for team ParkinGO Triumph BE1 Racing last year and David Salom worked on the new fork configurations and the shock absorbers but also on the electronic system, precisely on the traction control. Di Salvo and Charpentier started learning the difficult Portuguese track, which is unknown to them and improved their feeling with the bike. The riders were particularly focused on understanding and learning the machine's different features compared to the bikes they had raced on the years before: David Salom rode a Kawasaki in the 2009 WSBK season, Jason di Salvo raced in the USA on a Suzuki GSX in the Sportbike category, while the former two times champion Sebastien Charpentier, who is now making a comeback only raced a couple of times in Endurance. These three days are not to be considered positive, it was more of a shakedown for both riders and technicians. The former are essentially ready for the next test in Australia when they will have the machines set up for the 2010 season, the latter, among which there are new faces as well, got to know the riders and learned the crew's work method, the true strength of this team. And it this this particular quality that will help improve last season's results according to the team owner Giuliano Rovelli. Main Photo: Chaz Davies at Portimao Times:
