Fantastic news for all dirt bike fans as MXTV, Australia's favorite dirt bike show is set to blast
back onto screens for a 6th big year in 2006.
Starting in July, the big news is that the sixth series of the must-see TV show for dirt bike fans is
set to air on free-to-air television for the first time on NBN Nine in New South Wales and
Queensland.
It's huge news for the fans of the sport, and a massive step for the show that started 5 years
ago in the back of a garage in suburban Campbellfield in Victoria.
Host and executive producer
Brendan Bell was understandably stoked about the new deal
"it's a huge step for us to be on free to air television‰Û_... Every year we've committed to
improving the show in one way or another, and this is just more step toward our goal."
"The NBN 9 deal will get us into the main race, and that's where the show, and the sport
needs to be"
"Our ratings have always been great, but this will really put us on the map."
In fact, Bell and his production company Kickstart Media have big plans for the show in
coming years with eyes to a much wider audience.
"We've come a long way in 5 years, but we have a very clear picture of where we want the
show, and the sport to be in the next few years. The free to air television deal keeps us on
track with that plan, but we've really only really just begun."
Having seen what he's done with the show in the last five years - anything could be possible.
MXTV is set to air on NBN Nine, Foxtel and Austar Digital and C31 nationally from July 2006.
