Serco Yamaha Metal Mulisha racings Luke Styke has revealed that he has plans in motion to potentially race the final round of the 2012 Lucas Oils Pro Motocross Championship at Lake Elsinore

Styke who currently leads the 2012 Monster Energy MX Nationals MX2 class championship by 31 points, is working with his Australian team to organise a ride that will hopefully give the chance to show the American teams the talent he possesses and to make a few contacts with an aim to one day race full time in the United States.

"Recently I have been working with Serco to race the final round of the AMA Outdoors at Lake Elsinore." said Styke, "I would like to race in the USA in the future as it is where the best riders, best teams, best tracks and best championships are.

"Hopefully I can make this trip happen, gain a few contacts there and look to get over the full time in the future." added the 20 year old.

Before he thinks about racing in America however, he is 100% focused on the final two rounds of the Australian series.

With a solid season so far in 2012 behind the Yamaha mounted rider, there are no plans to change the way he attacks the racing in the final stages of this years championship

"I have been in the lead since early in the series and I think I have handled it pretty well, I pretty much go into each round with the same game plan and nothing has changed." explained Styke

"Our plan at the start of the year was to try and get 60 points at each round as history has shown if you average better than fourth in most championships, you win more than you lose." he concluded.
