MSC Kawasaki Riders Price & Green Named in Australian ISDE Team

Posted:

The 2009 Australian ISDE squad will be a lot greener this year thanks to the inclusion of Kawasaki riders, Josh Green and Toby Price. The two MSC Kawasaki Off Road Race Team riders have been named as part of the 11 man squad that will head to Portugal for the International Six Day Enduro being held from 12-17 October 2009. Price will compete at the event in Figueira da Foz, Portugal on board his KX450F while Green will campaign the event on his KX250F. The two riders, who are new to MSC Kawasaki in 2009, have impressed many in a relatively short time. Toby's previous motorcycling success has mainly come from MX tracks including a 7th place outright on board a Kawasaki at the 5th round of the 2008 Australasian SuperX Championships against riders such as Chad Reed, Daniel Reardon and Troy Carroll. Price made the switch to Off Road for 2009 and hasn't looked back. Toby found the podium at the second round of the 2009 Australian Off Road Championships, taking 3rd place. However, it was his 2nd place outright at the Australian Four Day Enduro that really propelled Toby into the Australian Off Road spotlight. Toby is excited to make the ISDE squad saying, "It was a big shock to make the team! It will be a really good experience for me and I'm sure I'm going to learn a lot and hopefully make a name for myself overseas. The ISDE is such a great event and I'm really happy I can be a part of it." Josh Green also enjoyed a highly successful 2009 A4DE and his results did not go unnoticed with the 19 year old also landing himself a spot on the ISDE team. Josh narrowly missed out on taking the win in the 250 Four Stroke class at the Four Day, taking 2nd place. Josh's strong efforts saw him finish the event in 7th outright. Josh says, "I'm definitely surprised but very excited. I've put in a lot of hard work for the last year and a half and it's really paying off. I'm looking forward to going to Portugal and can't wait to ride the KX250F over there and showing what I can achieve on it." Toby and Josh head to Figueira da Foz in Portugal with the rest of the Australian team for the ISDE from 12-17 October. Before then, the MSC Kawasaki Off Road Race Team will continue their podium aspirations at the 2009 Australian Off Road Championships with rounds 3 & 4 being held at Blaney, NSW on 16-17 May.
