Motoworks NZ/MVD Racewear 2012 Queensland Supermoto Championship Major Sponsor

Motoworks NZ/MVD Racewear has signed on as the major sponsor of the 2012 Queensland Supermoto Series.

The series has expanded to three rounds for 2012 and is now the biggest State Supermoto Championship in Australia. The three rounds of the series will take place in Mareeba, The Whitsundays and round one at Stanthorpe March 10 & 11. Motoworks NZ will provide prizes throughout the series including MVD Race Suits, Supermoto sliders and other products stocked by Motoworks NZ.

Motoworks NZ owner Shane Raitt said, "Motoworks involvement in supermoto, started with VOR and the Vertemati brothers and has gone on from there to where I specialise in this field."

Via the Motoworks NZ website and workshop in Christchurch, Shane has supported Supermoto riders from across the world, New Zealand and Australia including World Championship Rider Davide Gozzini. Motoworks stock Supermoto specific product and brands including MVD Racewear, Suter, TM Racing, Salice, SME and Hammerhead via the Motoworks NZ online store . Shane also specialises in Supermoto and off-road specialist products and prototype fabrication from his shop which concentrates purely on racing.

Currentely Motoworks supports one of the series premier riders and QLD local Beau Laing. Motoworks will not only support Beau locally, but has plans to take the next step and compete as a wild card in the European Championship. During his years of envolement in the sport Shane has made many friends especially in QLD where he hopes to call home in the future.
