Merv Williams To Coach At Victorian Elite Rider Training Camp

Posted:

Motorcycling Victoria has announced that the first of the coaches that will be administering and supervising the Elite Rider Training Camp in September will be Merv Williams.

Three lead coaches will be at the Elite Rider Training Camp all day, every day. They will be staying in the same accommodation as the selected riders, running the sessions and assisting the guest presenters.

MV have put together a top team of some of the best coaches in the state, and joining them with some of the camp‰Ûªs guest presenters, is a clear win-win situation.

The Chairperson of the Motorcycling Victoria Coaching Panel, Merv Williams, is the first of the three lead coaches selected for the camp.

Williams is an experienced motocross coach based out of Horsham Motorcycle Club. He does plenty of work for MV within the coaching ranks including:
åá Level 2 Coach
åá Level 1 Coaching Course Presenter
åá Coaching Panel Chairperson
åá MotorSafe Presenter

Williams is a skilled public speaker and presenter, is able to hold the attention of the room, and is able to keep things interesting and moving at a good pace.

Williams‰Ûªs son Jacob also races in the MX Nationals, meaning Merv has on the ground experience and current knowledge of gaining sponsorship and working with junior riders on a national-level.

‰ÛÏI believe the Elite Rider Training Camp will give our athletes a heads up and maybe a foot in the door for the AIS Elite Camp in Canberra later on in the year,‰Û
