Matt Philips Dominates Rookies – World Junior Qualifiers

Posted:

At the final round of the World Junior Qualifiers, Thor Honda Smart Youth Development rider Matt Philips dominated the entire proceedings with two 1st places and a 2nd in the respective three race format. ‰ÛÏThe 2nd place in race 2 was disappointing as I had the win, which would have given me three from three. I dropped it with only a few laps to go and couldn‰Ûªt make the time up," said Philips. Matt was up against a start studded line up that included current national champion Shaun Redhead. The event was the end leg of the world qualifiers and was held in conjunction with the Australian Motocross Championships at Canberra's Fairburn Park last weekend. Main Photo: Matt Philips
