The count-down is on for the first of three Moto Rodeo's organised by Motorcycling Australia's (MA) Riders' Division and with the Broadford event only days away on Saturday 19 February, stunt rider extraordinaire Lukey Luke wants you to come and join him and help raise money for victims of the recent floods.
Speaking ahead of the event Luke was excited to be doing his part and was keen for people to come along and have some fun while raising money for a good cause.
"When Rob from the Riders' Division called to explain the concept - I wanted to do my bit and if I could help out in that small way then I was excited to be involved," Luke said.
"It's a great cause ‰ÛÒ supporting those less fortunate as a result of devastating floods and cyclones around the nation.
"I don't believe out of sight out of mind is a good saying ‰ÛÒ I think Australians need to stick together in times of hardship and this is a great way to do it, and support everyone and have a bit of fun while we're doing a good thing.
"My heart goes out to the people affected by the floods around the nation."
In addition to participating in the Gymkhana's at the Moto Rodeo and meeting fans, Luke will put on a special show for everyone attending featuring 'tricky stunts, wheelies, stoppies and burn-out combinations' and with 36 events under his belt in 2010 alone ‰ÛÒ the Melbourne-based star is doing something right ‰ÛÒ so make sure you don't miss out!
"I always try to put on an exciting and happy show, and involve the crowd and the people around as much as I can," Luke said.
"I'm a very welcoming person, so if anyone wants to come up and have a chat they should feel free to ask me anything and I'll be happy to answer anyone's questions and meet them.
"I'm excited to do the Gymkhana too - I want to do the whole thing sliding!"
