Honda FMX maniac Robbie 'Maddo' Maddison has been selected as the only Australian to compete in the prominent LG Action Sports tour in the USA.
Promoters have chosen 16 of the world's top competitors with only two non-Americans on the list including Maddo and Swiss local Matt Rebeau.
Robbie will be up against such notorious riders as Nate Adams, Twitch Stenberg, Kenny Bartram, Ronnie Renner, Brian Deegan, Ronnie Faaist, Ox Kargola, Drake Mclearoy, Dan Pastor, Mike Metzger, Adam Jones and Mike Mason.
The LG Action Sports World Tour is the only global professional multi-sport competition series of its kind. Featuring the best in skateboarding, BMX, rollerblading and FMX, the tour brings the allstars of action sports around the world with stops in Amsterdam, England, Paris, Berlin and the US.
With $600,000 USD at stake for the Championships, every pro in the world wants a shot, and from July to October, Robbie will take part in the amazing 'circus' as it descends upon each City.
"It's a real honour to be chosen to participate in this tour," he said from his temporary home in the USA.
"This past year or so has been awesome with the kinds of opportunities that are coming my way. I couldn't be achieving that without my sponsors such as Honda Australia, as well as the support of my family and friends."
