Wilson's Jetpilot Racings, Luke Wilson moved further up the Championship standings with another consistent outing at round 8 of the 2013 Monster Energy MX Nationals held at Swan Hill in Victoria on Sunday the 11th of August.
Wilson ended the days racing with a 17th and a 16th moto finish in the two moto's for the round and 17th overall for the round and while the results were not quite what he was chasing after a strong showing at the previous round at Hervey Bay in Queensland, Wilson was happy with the way he rode on a tough deeply rutted track.
"I felt pretty good out on the bike all day Sunday and felt as though I was riding well on a tough track, though at the end of the day my results were not quite there." Wilson stated.
"My starts of the concrete let me down a little and some good starts would have been a help," he added.
With the final two rounds of the MX Nationals heading back to tracks in Wilson's home state of Queensland, the Gold Coast resident will continue his push for a top ten result at the final rounds being held at Toowoomba and Coolum, before quickly turning his attention to the rapidly approaching Australian Supercross Championship.
"I moved up another position in the championship standings on the weekend and with some good results in the final two rounds I should be able to finish the season off in the top 15," the 24 year old continued.
"I head back to my home state of Queensland for the final two rounds, the aim will be to finish of the season strongly then quickly turn around and get ready for the upcoming Supercross season." Wilson concluded.
