The 2014 edition of the KTM Tumbulgum Natural Terrain Motocross has being run and won, with KTM's Lewis Calvin the star of the show on his Berrysweet / Mandurah City KTM 450 SX-F.
The annual, carnival-style motocross weekend and 2.3 kilometre long natural terrain track attracted more than 400 competitors to the location south-east of Perth.
Supported since its inception by KTM Australia, the event is now in its 10th year and according to many, is better than ever.
Twenty-four-year-old Calvin took a perfect four holeshots and four wins to win ahead of, Dean Porter (TRS Racing/Forte Plant Hire KTM), David Birch (Tessellate Bricklaying / APE Group KTM) and desert racing legend Ben Grabham (KTM Desert Racing Team).
‰ÛÏI've been coming here for eight or nine years, on and off, and it seems to keep getting better and better each year." Calvin stated. "Changing the track to reverse direction was interesting and gave us something to look forward to.
"Because it's a natural terrain track, it goes through so many changes through the day, from the initial topsoil to the clay underneath. Each time you go out it's changed again and it's a really fun challenge to master it.
"My day was awesome, I've been putting a lot of work and the track suited me perfectly, for holeshots and four wins so it was perfect day.‰Û
