One hundred and thirty motorcycle riders entered the KTM Ride 4 Kids, fundraiser for Challenge, a charity supporting kids with cancer at Victorian State Motorcycling Complex in Broadford - raising over $25,000 in donations.
Nine year old rider Bryce Gathercole from Doreen Victoria, was one of many motocross riders who turned out in full force at the event, helping to raise much needed funds by participating in the non competitive riding format.
In the weeks leading up to the event, Bryce put his fundraising skills to the test and managed to raise over $6000 for Challenge securing himself the position of highest fundraiser, which saw a reward of a 2009 model KTM 250 EXC-E, donated event sponsor KTM.
Having participated in the event in previous years and coming in as the second highest fund raiser, Gathercole was determined this year to raise enough funds to win the prize for the highest fundraiser.
Commenting on his achievement Gathercole said, ‰ÛÏI am so happy to have raised the most amount of money for Challenge at the KTM Ride 4 Kids fundraiser. It feels great to be lending support through fundraising and handing over the money raised to help other kids.
‰ÛÏI‰Ûªm also really excited about winning the KTM 250 EXC-E motorcycle, it‰Ûªs awesome to see a motorcycling manufacturer get behind such a worthy cause.‰Û
