2007 Australian Motocross and Supercross Championship winners, the Kawasaki Racing Team, look to be
a top contender again in 2008 with the announcement of their new rider line up.
Mitch Hoad will be contesting the Pro Open class on board a Kawasaki KX450F with
Cody Mackie and Luke George on board the Kawasaki KX250F in the Pro Lites class.
After a total dominance of the 2007 Australian Motocross and Supercross Championship
Series, a lot is expected of the Kawasaki Race Team (KRT) in 2008 and they don‰Ûªt plan to
disappoint. Currently undergoing vigorous training and preparation for the upcoming
season, the KRT riders look set to come out firing on all cylinders and start the season
where they left off in 2007, on the podium!
23 year old Hoad takes the next step in his already blossoming career and
naturally progresses to the Pro Open Class in 2008. Mitch had a successful 2007
season taking 2nd place in the Pro Lites Class of the Australian Motocross
Championship Series and 3rd in the Australian Supercross Championship Series.
Coming back from injury, Mitch is training hard on board the KX450F and is excited
to race.
Cody Mackie is back on home soil after returning from intensive training in the USA.
2007 was a turbulent year for Cody. He headed to the States at the end of 2006 to
compete in the AMA SX Series where he was unfortunately injured in the 2nd round.
The injury forced Cody to sit out the remainder of the AMA SX Series and the 2007
Australian Supercross Series but he came back to take 6th in the 2007 Australian
Motocross Championship Series. Cody is adamant he is fit, prepared and ready for
the 2008 season.
