Round three of the Victorian Off-road Junior Championship Took place the last weekend in perfect conditions about 17C and a huge turn out by competitors and spectators.
What a track the MCRCV Club set up at a private property in Three Bridges for an awesome enduro. The day before it rained and dropped 40mm of water down the hills and over a freshly made track. The track had everything you would possibly want for a junior enduro.
This event was a special event as it was the first state or national enduro for the year. The property is owned by the Sanders Family and it is something dirt bike riders all dream of. It had a monstrous mind boggling variance of track. The track had absolutely every thing ranging from mud, loam, sand, rock, clay, slippery dips, fresh cut sand and of course single trail in off camber sections, pristine down hills and tranquil country side.
Special thanks should go to a few MCRCV club members that put in a lot of time and effort into the construction of the track and of course Peter Sanders that went crazy with the tractor cutting in virgin tracks. It was great to see such a great support from everybody involved in the design, construction, setting up and marking of a state level track.
The track consisted of six special tests, two of which were a short motocross section and roughly a couple hours trail time. Well done guys.
The night before many people were holding their breathe because of the rain that had been falling with predictions of more rain to come.
On the day the venue was supported by a crew of enthusiastic workers and helpers that were either club members, competitor's parents or even people passionate about the sport, helping in a multitude of different ways. Many thanks go out to these people.
All the juniors found the enduro enjoyable, challenging, tiring and heaps of fun and typically they wanted more later. The results for the day were:
