In their inaugural appearance at the Paris Supercross, Jett Lawrence and Jo Shimoda showcased dominance in their respective classes, captivating the sold-out crowd on the opening night.

The Arena was packed, adorned with numerous stars both on and off the track. The Paris Supercross lived up to its reputation, delivering thrilling races on a technical track that separated the best riders from the rest.

Triple US champion of the season, Jett Lawrence secured victories in all three races, injecting suspense into two of them. While he clinched the first heat, the second saw a dramatic last-lap maneuver to pass his brother Hunter, who had led throughout. In the main event, an error by Ken Roczen initially gave Jett the lead, but a mistake on his part allowed Roczen to reclaim it. Jett recovered, regaining the lead to secure his third triumph of the night and top the overall classification. Despite finishing sixth in the final, Hunter retained his second place overall, narrowly ahead of Ken Roczen, who claimed the third spot on the podium, tied in points with fourth-placed Cooper Webb. The following positions were occupied by Cédric Soubeyras, Gregory Aranda, and Jordi Tixier.

In the SX2 category, Jo Shimoda, victorious in the first two races, faced an early setback in the main event, finishing thirteenth after the opening lap, while Tom Vialle and Jace Owen led the charge. The race unfolded with two narratives: Vialle holding off Owen, and Shimoda steadily overtaking his rivals. Despite finishing third in the final race, Shimoda secured the overall win, with Jace Owen and Tom Vialle completing the podium. Vialle’s victory in the last race propelled him to the third step, narrowly edging out Anthony Bourdon and American Cullin Park.

Although Jo Shimoda and Jett Lawrence have taken the lead in the Prince and King of Paris standings, the competition remains undecided with Sunday’s event to come.
