Jeremy Seewer’s time with Ducati’s factory MXGP project has come to an end, with the Swiss rider and the Italian manufacturer mutually agreeing to part ways effective immediately.
In an official statement, Ducati confirmed the split and thanked Seewer for his contribution during the early stages of the brand’s MXGP journey, which included two podium finishes in the 2025 season at Frauenfeld in Switzerland and Ernée in France.
“Ducati and Jeremy Seewer announce that they have mutually agreed to end the collaboration between the Swiss rider and the Red Bull Factory MXGP Team, with immediate effect,” the statement read.
“Ducati would like to thank Jeremy, with whom the Italian manufacturer achieved two podium finishes in 2025, taking third place at Frauenfeld (Switzerland) and Ernée (France), and wishes him all the best for the continuation of his career.”
Seewer joined Ducati on a two-year deal ahead of the 2025 MXGP World Championship, bringing significant experience into the developing Desmo450 MX programme after a career that included multiple MXGP podium campaigns and championship runner-up finishes.
While the partnership delivered early highlights, results in 2026 have been more difficult to come by, with Seewer’s best Grand Prix overall finish of the season being 15th at his home round in Switzerland. He currently sits 22nd in the championship standings, as the project has shifted focus across its factory structure.
Ducati confirmed its MXGP campaign will continue with Andrea Bonacorsi and Calvin Vlaanderen, at the German Grand Prix in Teutschenthal on May 30–31.
