Leading female dirt bike racer, Jemma Wilson, has taken a huge step towards to realising her dream of racing for her country with a podium finish in the prestigious Hog‰Ûªs Breath Cafe Australian 4-Day (A4DE) at Orange, NSW.
Wilson, from Darra (in Brisbane‰Ûªs south) was the second fastest woman finisher in the grueling event, which wrapped up at the weekend.
The 19-year-old placed 2nd to highly decorated and reigning Women‰Ûªs Champion, fellow Yamaha WR250F racer, Alison Parker.
Wilson said the A4DE was one of the main selection criterions for the new Women‰Ûªs Team for the annual International Six Day‰Ûªs Enduro (ISDE), this year to be held in Portugal in October.
‰ÛÏAlison and I both showed that we have what it takes to do a Six Day... finishing my fourth four-day with no major problems or anything gets me a bit closer to going to Portugal, which is really exciting,‰Û
