The Team HRC Sporting Manager will be on hand to help nurture the talent of tomorrow, giving the benefit of his experience and success to the young riders as they get to grips with the Honda CRF150R.
Throughout the two training days the riders will also have the benefit of the involvement of FIM Europe who will provide advice and tips on physical fitness, nutrition and mental preparation. Series coach Gordon Crockard will also provide invaluable guidance on technique, lines, positioning and style on the bike as well as advice on the level of preparation and professionalism required to race on an MXGP weekend.
As a result of increasing interest in the youth championship and demand for places, the Training Camp will also have a different format in 2015: it will give the 25 confirmed riders the chance to learn the four-stroke CRF150R ahead of the season, whilst offering a shoot-out for the remaining places in the 30-strong grid.
With rising numbers of young talent applying for the MXGP support championship the first 25 championship places have been allocated based on past results, and with the chance to prove themselves over the course of the two days, the remaining places will be selected by Jean-Michel Bayle, Gordon Crockard, Honda Motor Europe Off-Road Manager Davy Dousselaere and FIM Europe.
‰ÛÏI‰Ûªm really pleased to be a part of this youth Training Camp with Honda. It is always good to see young people riding because you can always discover something and the new techniques, the new style, comes from the new generation,‰Û
