Motul Pirelli Suzuki team Manager, Jay Foreman has confirmed that he has secured the services of Matt Moss at the last minute to ride for the team at the upcoming Australian Supercross Championship.
Moss will line up this Saturday night in Dubbo in the 450 class with the team hopeful that he will also join them full time in 2013.
"Matt was out of contract and he was pretty keen to come and ride for us, so we took advantage of the situation" Foreman stated.
"We are hoping to have him stay with us for next year, that was our plan and also Matt's motive in moving over to us.
"With his current team scaling back and becoming a 250 team in 2013, Matt was looking to ride a 450 and he said he was also available for supercross as well, so we worked things out and he is riding with us." Foreman added.
With the move happening so close to the beginning of the championship, team manager Jay Foreman has wasted no time spending time with the 2011 Australian Lites Supercross champion, with the past two days spent on the test track with a little more time planned for later in the week.
"I have been working with Matt for the past two days, we have another full day tomorrow to finalise a few things and then we are done and ready to go"
Matt Moss is no stranger to the Australian Suzuki racing team, winning the 2009 Australian motocross championship with the team in the Lites class along with the 2008 and 2009 Australian Supercross championships, before controversially being rewarded second place in the 2010 SuperX championship after initially being awarded the title.
