Jason Reed will be looking to get his racing career back on track, starting this Saturday night, at round one of the Terex Australian Supercross Championship being held in Dubbo, N.S.W.

Reed who has been racing part time and working full time as a apprentice fitter/machinist for the past few years, has also spent some time in hospital in a bid to get his body back to 100% fitness, after suffering some big injuries from both his Under 19 racing day's and injuries sustained during the 2011 championship.

Now feeling 100% fit and ready, this year sees Reed return to the Supercross scene in the Pro Open class, more prepared and with a new positive outlook on racing.

"I've never been quite this positive and prepared coming into a series before which is making me a whole lot more excited to race again ." Reed stated.

"I've been doing as much riding and training that can fit in, working 5 days a week restricts me a fair bit but luckily I had 12 days off in-between job changes recently and was able to ride every day on my own track and tracks around my area.

"I was able to ride with a few fast riders which was great because I found out what i needed to work on and I've been doing exactly that." added the 20 year old.

"Recently I moved out and started a new job which allows me to race a lot more so hopefully I can have a successful supercross series and you guys can see me around within the scene a lot more in 2013".

Reed has set himself some specific goals for the short four round series with his main aim being on constancy at each event, with aspirations of finishing inside the top half of the field by the time the series heads to this home town for the final round on November the 17th.

"My expectations for this season is to stay on the bike and to be consistent which is what I've really come up short on in the past few years", explained Reed

"I'm taking the 1 step back 2 steps forward approach and I know if I go to the races ride my heart out and be consistent well that will put me in the best position I can be."

"In saying that I would really like to crack a top 12-10 in a main event, I want to be that young privateer kid that makes people turn their head for all the right reasons.

"Hopefully I can have a successful supercross series and you guys can see me around within the scene a lot more in 2013" he added

While Reed will be racing as a privateer for the 2012 ASX championship, the likeable and out going rider has continued support from his long time sponsors as well gaining some more support over the recent months.

"JWP racing and ASV Service and sales have been backing me a lot and have been a major help in ensuring I could go racing again this year. Also my long time supporters in the Deft family, Vonzipper, Go Pro, Ethika, Ogio and ODI thanks to Lusty Industries have stuck behind me which I really appreciate.

"I was also lucky enough to get help from my buddies at Axis Motorsports and also the good people at Hart and Huntington, Pro Athlete Fitness and Uni Filter for this season." he concluded.

Keep an eye out for Jason Reed on his number 151 Honda CRF450 over the course of the ASX Championship starting this Saturday night.
