Jason Crump was forced to lay his bike down at full speed to avoid Russian rider Emil Sayfutdinov who crashed during the running of the Speedway Grand Prix final last Saturday night at Gothernberg in Sweden.
Crump sustained an injury to his right hand (not his left hand as previously reported) and attended his specialist in the UK on Monday morning for x-rays to determine the extent of the damage.
The results have shown that Jason has broken several small bones in his hand and sustained serious ligament damage to two of his fingers.
Crump will be forced to rest for one week while the injury repairs itself but he has indicated that he will ride for his Swedish club VMS Elit next Tuesday night.
