Australian Electraction TM rider Josh Green was forced to withdraw from the opening day‰Ûªs competition at the GP of Poland, round four of the ‰Ûª10 Enduro World Championship, following a crash on the event‰Ûªs second timed special test.
Placing fourth in class on the opening extreme test, and hopeful of securing a podium result, Josh parted company with his TE 250 in spectacular style on the first motocross test, ending his event having injured his knee and re-aggravating a previous thumb injury. Josh will also miss the GP of Slovakia, which takes place next weekend, June 19/20.
"It‰Ûªs too early to know exactly what I‰Ûªve done to my knee and thumb, but there was no way I could continue," Green said.
"It‰Ûªs really disappointing because the day had started well and I really wanted to get another podium result. I felt good before the race, liked the look of the tests, and really thought I could get a top three result again. This really messes things up as far as the championship goes but hopefully things aren‰Ûªt too bad and after some time off I‰Ûªll be able to get back racing a again."
