Australian Hunter Lawrence will be sidelined for Round 9 of the AMA Supercross Championship at Protective Stadium, Birmingham, due to a fractured left scapula sustained in a crash during the previous weekend’s main event at Daytona.
“Unfortunately, Hunter Lawrence will miss this round with a small fracture to his left scapula, incurred in a crash during last weekend’s main event,” Honda reported on its Social Media. “Hunter and the team are still awaiting a prognosis from doctors, but he is focused on returning as quickly as possible.”
Lawrence is determined to make a swift return. Despite a challenging start to the 2024 Supercross season, with multiple setbacks, Lawrence had shown improvement in the rounds leading up to Daytona.
The exact timeline for his return remains uncertain, but the team remains hopeful he won’t miss many rounds.
