Under the new format classes were separated to allow classes to be completed on one day. Saturday's event schedule marked the day for 85cc BW/150cc 4 Stroke, 65cc and the 100/125/150 2 stoke, while Sunday's manifest was 250cc, 85sw/150 4 Stroke, 50cc Div and the Vic Chicks.

Hampered with brisk winds and overcast conditions and fearful of rain, the Horsham Motorcycle Club prepared the track for the wet, it didn't rain, however Saturday's cold wind, overcast clouds prevented the warm sun from warming the day, the track was fast and Hard pack.

Yamaha Junior Racing Team's Joel Milesevic continued his unbeaten run in the 125cc A Grade. From 6 starts, he has 6 wins clearly a two-stroke specialist with dominating field leads of at least eight seconds blowing out to a 27.204 lead in moto one.

"It was real good today, my starts helped me heaps today and made everything easier. The track was changing and got difficult and that's how I exceeded to help pull away." said a confident Milesevic, where only a mistake on his behalf could prevent his unbeaten status.

In his last year of junior competition, Milesevic hopes to step up into the under 19's in 2012 on a Yamaha 250 two-stroke. Top Gear KTM's Jack Simpson finished strong in the final two motos for second overall, while Scriven's Racing Eagerpig's Charlie Anderson had an impressive top five run all day. Honda's Wayde Carter found an old CR125 and finished with two seconds and a fifth for the day without competing in the final moto.

Most likely to be the series biggest crash was Thomas Henry, Henry had a huge get off right on the finish line of the first 125cc A Grade moto, finishing the race in terrifying circumstances for ninth place.

"My throttle got stuck on flat out just before the jump and I had nothing to do it wouldn't shut off," Henry explained this week.

"The bike just took off straight up in the air with me on it. Everyone one said I should of back flipped and I was as high as the lap scoring tower. When I was coming down, all I could think of was my legs and guess I'm lucky I only broke the one leg. I will have some big scars from the two big cuts down both sides of my leg. I have a large rod in my leg now with screws holding it and about fifty staples holding the cuts.

"Every doctor I saw until after surgery kept wiggling my big toe to check my leg pulse and muscles, I would say it hurt, then later on I found out my toe was broken as well. My bike is trashed the whole back is just about snapped and I hope it's all fixed by the time I can ride again, as soon as the rod is out. Just like to thank Doyle & Shields, Able onsite services and my mum and dad. " said Thomas Henry.

Tasmanian Wade Kirkland went one better in this round of the 65cc A Grade. After finishing second in the opening round at Cobram, Kirkland found what was needed to hold off current Victorian Champion GMR Motorex KTM's Callum Norton. Horsham's Morgan McNicol used the home track advantage to complete the podium.

Honda Junior Development Team's Wayde Carter is one more step closer to achieving his goal of back-to-back 85/150 A Grade BW wining three from three with race leads ranging from 2 to 8 seconds. Top Gear KTM's Jack Simpson and South Australian Jett Anderson rounded out the top three.

Sunday's race conditions were mild, overcast a weather dull day. Overnight preparation of the circuit allowed small ruts to form.

The inaugural series of the Vic Chicks inspired an New South Wales import Yamaha Junior Racing Team's Mackenzie Tricker, she dominated Vic Chicks with impressive lap times and race leads of at least 39 seconds. Tricker also competed in the 250cc A Grade finishing sixteenth with 2 race starts. Metro Honda's Sarah Stubbs had a consistent second placing for the day. Dirt Action Bobcat's Teala Petz duelled with Snapes Furniture Logistics Alysha Goullet for third place, Petz having a better run securing third on the podium.

Young gun Emma Milesevic, younger sister of Yamaha's Joel Milesevic, was missing from the round after breaking her collarbone at the Horsham practice day. Speaking to her parents she is disappointed that she missed the round, and is looking forward to competing as soon as she is able, but she might miss two rounds. Emma competing on an 85cc was surely disadvantaged in the class at Cobram even wining a moto, now she is training on a 125cc her injury holding her back, the red plater will be one to watch in the future being the only junior female to make A Grade under the forming of Motorcycling Victoria.

It was a red and blue fight in the 250cc A grade, with Yamaha Junior Racing Team's Billy Jackson and Honda Junior Development Team's Wayde Carter, the two swapping top spot during the three motos. Carter won the final moto to secure first, a second placing for Jackson. South Australian Honda BCP rider Kurt Waterman fifth place in the final moto was enough to edge out Scriven's Racing Eagerpig's Charlie Anderson for third.

GMR Motorex KTM's Callum Norton was unstoppable in the 85sw/150 4 stroke A Grade wining three from three. JR's Motorcycles Kallam Orchard consistency was enough to edge out Tasmanian Wade Kirkland after his fifth placing in the second moto.

Castlemaine's Liam Andrews race dominance ended, after winning three from three at Cobram the Choice Suspension Elliot Brothers machine of Andrews had two seconds and a race win to finish on top of the podium. Fellow Castlemaine club member Brodie James powered his 'Meat Master' KTM home for a first - third -second for second on the dais. While Tyran Tomich's third - first - third finished the top three.

The next round of the 2011 Victorian Junior Motorcross Championships will be held at Rosebud on the 18/19th of June, entries close Friday the 10th of June, to assist Victorian Motorcycling Management Committee of volunteers please get your entries in as soon as possible.
