Jamie Stauffer is back after taking the Race 2 win and 2nd overall today in the FX Championship.
Stauffer proved without a shadow of a doubt that he is back in the title charge. He will line up in P2 on the grid next to team mate Troy Herfoss in P3 for tomorrow‰Ûªs Swann Series.
The Australasian Superbike Championship is heating up with some very close racing and both Honda riders are well and truly in the mix.
Troy Herfoss was the early leader in Race 1 today, but unfortunately ran off the track on lap 8 and had to work his magic to re-join the race and finish in 3rd place. Stauffer raced well in Race 1 to finish 2nd from his P3 start.
Race 2 was Stauffer‰Ûªs from start to finish and he looked very comfortable on-board his CBR1000RR SP. However, it was Herfoss, finishing in 4th place that recording the fastest lap of the race, a 1:06.885 sec on lap 8.
Herfoss also recorded the fastest lap of Race 3 today with a lap time of 1:06.787 sec and finished in 2nd place. Stauffer finished Race 3 in 4th place and is pleased with his first day back at the office.
‰ÛÏToday was not bad, I‰Ûªm still a little rusty at times and I did make some little mistakes, but overall we didn‰Ûªt do too badly. We are making some minor changes to the bike for tomorrow‰Ûªs Swann Series races and hopefully we will be up the front racing for the win.‰Û
