The Hogs Breath Caf̩ Yamaha Supermoto team are gearing up for round 1, they will be
ready to take their weapons to the track on Saturday at Oran Park‰Ûªs North Circuit for the Start
of the Australian Supermoto Season.
The Team has been busily preparing race bikes to
have them at their peak performance. The Team has been dealt a huge blow with the Mark
Avard sustaining an injury while testing his new YZF450.
"I am disappointed to not be riding the first round, I was looking forward this
years Championship," Avard said. "I have re-injured my right shoulder in a practice crash. I want to
regain full strength for the up and coming double headers, and do not want to risk any long
term damage. I will be fighting fit for the Newcastle Double header at Mt Sugarloaf go-kart
circuit 6-7th October," added the former champion Avard
Cru Haliday on the other hand has been in fine form, taking no prisoners and NSW Supermoto
Mayhem Cup and has a perfect lead into the Championship.
"Its been good to get these wins under my belt before the real fun starts, Saturday
will be my opportunity to show everyone what I have got, I cant wait!. The new Yamaha is
working great and we have had perfect testing at Oran Park and Calder raceway and we are
hoping for the Number 1 plate for this year‰Û
